Review: 2014-10-04, fight not particularly good between Chad Dawson and Tommy Karpency: it gets two stars. Chad Dawson entered this fight with a pro-boxing record of 32-3-0 (18 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.9 cruiserweight in the world but he lost two out of his last three fights: against Andre Ward in 2012 (=Ward vs Dawson) and Adonis Stevenson last year (named The Ring magazine Knockout of the Year 2013, Dawson vs Stevenson); he came back to win in 2014 defeating George Blades.
His opponent, Tommy Karpency, has a record of 23-4-1 (14 knockouts) and he entered as the No.76 light heavyweight, he lost two consecutive bouts in 2012, against Nathan Cleverly and Andrzej Fonfara (=Fonfara vs Karpency), but after one year of inactivity he won twice in 2014.
