In their first fight Rios defeated Alvarado by TKO and it was a war (Fight of the Year 2012 candidate); the rematch Rios vs Alvarado 2 is valid for the interim WBO light welterweight title. What a fight. The first three rounds were electric and while the pace slowed down a bit from round 4 onwards it was still a war. Great fight, can’t wait for Rios vs Alvarado 3 :D

Please explain how he got robbed.He was clearly outboxed but the more pure boxer.He had him in the second but by the points system mike hit him more often then Rios did.Rios uses his head for defense! I believe if he keeps fighting that style if he can’t get you out of there in the fight few rds he will get beat on points or knockout.Also if you feel he was robbed please tell me why he won vs Abril? He clearly won more rounds but Rios is the more known fighter….He will put on entertaining fights but will take losses unless he fights robot -straight forward fighters with little power.
