2009 best BOXING fight – Edwin Valero vs Antonio Pitalua – Video full fight
Review: 2009-04-04, Edwin Valero (24-0-0) had won the WBA World super featherweight title against Vicente Mosquera (one of the best boxing fights of 2006), and after having defended it four times, he tried in 2009 to win the vacant WBC lightweight title. His opponent was Antonio Pitalua (46-3-0), very dangerous Colombian boxer since he had won by knockout 40 times! In fact at the end of the first round Pitalua surprised Valero with a nice right hook, but “El Inca” Valero in the first 49 seconds of the second round knocked down Pitalua three times and won the fight: twenty-fifth KO out of 25 fighting.
