Review: 2008-01-19, the title of the night was “Bring on the Titans”, in fact the fight between Roy Jones Jr and Felix Trinidad was a real dream match. Roy Jones Jr (51-4-0) fell below the 170 Lb, which has not happened since 1996, while for Trinidad (42-2-0) this was his first fight in the light heavyweight division. The fight was spectacular, Roy Jones Jr knocked down “Tito” Trinidad two times during the bout and won this battle. Watch the video!

Review: 2008-03-22, the fight between Librado Andrade (26-1-0) and Robert Stieglitz (31-1-0) was valid for the IBF super middleweight title eliminator, and the winner would fight against Lucian Bute. Both boxers had lost once in their career (when they tried to win a world title), Andrade lost against Mikkel Kessler, while Stieglitz versus Alejandro Berrio. The fight ended in the eighth round after a tough fight full of action, Andrade defeated Stieglitz by TKO. Watch the video!

Review: 2008-11-08, Joe Calzaghe (45-0-0), having debuted in 2008 in the USA defeating Bernard Hopkins, returned overseas to challenge one of the strongest boxers ever: Roy Jones Jr (52-4-0). As against Hopkins, the “Italian Dragon” Calzaghe went down in the first round, but then he managed to win a match in which it gives its best, “Calzaghe seemed to fight like Roy Jones Jr” when the American was in his best years, mocking his opponent. Joe Calzaghe vs Roy Jones Jr was one of the best boxing fights of 2008 and it is also the last match of Calzaghe (retired undefeated). Watch the video!
2008 best BOXING fight – Juan Diaz vs Michael Katsidis – Video full fight
Review: 2008-09-06, the fight between Juan Diaz and Michael Katsidis was valid for the vacant IBO lightweight title and it was one of the best fights of 2008. Both boxers in 2008 had suffered their first defeat, Juan Diaz (33-1-0) against Nate Campbell, while Katsidis (23-1-0) lost versus Joel Casamayor (probably the best boxing fight of 2008). So for both this match was really important, the fight had a very high pace (more than 1600 punches thrown in 12 rounds) and it was very balanced; in fact Juan Diaz defeated Michael Katsidis by split decision. Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 2 full fight Video – 2008
Review: 2008-03-15, the first fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez ended in a draw, so after four years the two boxers fought for the second time in one of the best fights of 2008. Pacquiao (45-3-2) knocked down Marquez (48-3-1) in the third round but the Filipino just won the fight by split decision (most journalists had Marquez winning over Pacquiao!). This second fight between Pacquiao and Marquez was valid for the WBC super featherweight title. Watch the video!
