His opponent, Angelo Santana, has an official record of 14-1-0 (11 KOs=78%) and he entered as the No.95 lightweight, he suffered his only defeat in his last fight against Bahodir Mamadjonov. Curiously he was born in Cuba from a boxing family in which both his father and uncle had been national champions but some of his family members are defectors to the United States so he couldn’t travel abroad, thus he decided to sail to Florida on a raft made of wood and tire inner tubes on a three day journey in September 2007!!
