alvarez-vs-tackie-poster-2015-10-10
2 Star RatingReview by AllTheBestFights.com: 2015-10-10, fight not particularly good between Ramon Alvarez and Ben Tackie: it gets two stars.

Ramon Alvarez entered this fight with a pro boxing record of 21-4-2 (13 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.15 super welterweight in the world. He suffered his last loss in 2012 when he faced Mario Alberto Lozano, since then he has collected seven victories and one no-contest, against Richard Gutierrez in his last bout (=Alvarez vs Gutierrez).
His opponent, Ben Tackie, has a record of 30-12-1 (18 knockouts) but he is not ranked as he hasn’t fought since March 8, 2014 when he defeated by Gabriel Adoku; but before this fight he has lost six consecutive bouts. ‘Inocente’ Alvarez vs Tackie is the main event of the evening. 2000 BOXING fight – Ben Tackie vs Roberto Garcia – full fight Video Knockout of the Year

3_stars_boxing_ranking_allthebestfightsReview: 2000-06-03, Roberto Garcia (32-1-0) had just lost the IBF super featherweight title in his previous fight against Diego Corrales thus he moved up in weight class to the light welterweight division facing Ben Tackie (19-1-0). Roberto Garcia was commanding the fight but in the ninth round Tackie knocked down him, Garcia survived, but in the tenth Ben Tackie knocked him out with a tremendous left hook (Ring Magazine “Knockout of the Year” ).
