2 Star RatingReview by AllTheBestFights.com: 2017-10-19, pretty good finish between Gabriel Rosado and Glen Tapia but the rest of the fight was not so exciting: it gets two stars.

Gabriel Rosado entered this fight with a professional boxing record of 23-11-0 (13 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.26 middleweight in the world but he won just two out of his last seven fights, against Joshua Clottey in 2015 (Clottey vs Rosado) and with Antonion Gutierrez in 2016. After this bout he has been defeated by Willie Monroe Jr (=Monroe Jr vs Rosado) and Martin Murray (via majority decision, Murray vs Rosado).
His opponent, Glen Tapia, has an official record of 23-4-0 (15 knockouts) and he entered as the No.97 in the same weight class but he comes off three consecutive losses: against Michel Soro (=Tapia vs Soro), David Lemieux (=Lemieux vs Tapia) and Jason Quigley. Rosado vs Tapia is the main event of the evening. Watch the video and rate this fight!

2013 BOXING fight – James Kirkland vs Glen Tapia – full fight Video

3_stars_boxing_ranking_allthebestfightsReview: 2013-12-07, tough and brutal fight with both fighters exchanging shot for shot from the first bell, Kirkland and Tapia showed a lion’s heart and a stone chin but after watching this bout twice we think it is just “close to get four stars“. Our decision is likely to be unpopular since many labeled this bout as “Fight of the Year 2013” but there is something missing or maybe because the looser was too passive in the last two rounds and we want to see an exciting battle by both sides and not a drama. The undefeated Glen Tapia ranked as the No.23 light middleweight in the world, entered the fight with a record of 20-0-0 (12 knockouts) while James Kirkland had a record of 31-1-0 (27 K0s=87% – Kirkland is not ranked as he hasn’t fought since March 24, 2012 when he faced Carlos Molina). Kirkland vs Tapia is on the undercard of Guillermo Rigondeaux vs Joseph Agbeko. Watch the video!
