The former WMC muay thai and current Glory light-Hw champion Artem Vakhitov entered this fight with a professional kickboxing record of 18-5-0 (8 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.1 super cruiserweight in the world. He lost to Saulo Cavalari in their first fight in 2015 (via split decision) but then he has won five bouts taking revenge on Cavalari in 2016 (=Cavalari vs Vakhitov 2) and in 2017 (=Vakhitov vs Cavalari 3).
His opponent, Ariel Machado, has an official record of 45-8-0 and he entered as the No.8 in the same weight class. He lost two consecutive bouts last year, against Zinedine Hameur-Lain (Hameur-Lain vs Machado I) and Yousri Belgaroui but he came back to win in 2017 taking revenge on Hameur-Lain and beating Danyo Ilunga. Vakhitov vs Machado, main event of Glory 47, is valid for the Glory light heavyweight title (Vakhitov’s third defense). Watch the video and rate this fight!
