Review: 2009-12-12, good fight between Vic Darchinyan and Tomas Rojas, but we want to give our 4 stars for the spectacular Ko. Vic Darchinyan (32-2-1) at the end of the first round tried to turn up the pace with a powerful exchange of punches, but it is 3 minutes later that Darchinyan knocked Rojas out with a powerful left punch. The fight Darchinyan vs Rojas was valid for the WBC and WBA super flyweight title. Watch the video!
Review: 2009-02-07, the fight between Vic Darchinyan and Jorge Arce was one of the best boxing fights of 2009. Darchinyan (31-1-1) had just won the WBA and WBC super flyweight titles against Cristian Mijares and, during the previous fight (also in 2008) he had beat Dmitry Kirillov, winning the IBF belt. So Darchinyan was the king of the super flyweight category, but another warrior wanted to steal his titles: Jorge Arce (51-4-1), interim champion for the WBA. The bout was very exciting, but in the eleventh round, doctor stopped the fight for the cuts to Arce’s eyes, all three judges gave the victory to Darchinyan, 109-100. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-04-23, great fight and action between Vic Darchinyan and Yonnhy Perez, first fight of the Bantamweight Tournament between Darchinyan, Perez, Agbeko and Mares. Darchinyan knocks down Perez in the second round but the match ends in the fifth round by technical decision due to an accidental headbutt. Watch the video!
Review: Vic Darchinyan, although he belonged to the flyweight division (now bantamweight), is a spectacular boxer since he always seeks the Ko, as well as the fight with Irene Pacheco. Both boxers were undefeated in 2004 and for Darchinyan this was also the first fight in the U.S.A., but Pacheco was the man to beat, since he was the holder of the IBF flyweight title by more than 5 years.
