hey this isn’t a comment but a message – I left the Holy Smokes comment about how bad this fight was – I’ve been following your site for quite some time, and we all are very greatful to the time you put in reviewing all these fights. We all very much respect your rating and options. With a subjectivly scored sport, often from judges from bad angles, where close rounds/fights can’t really be disputed as such, there must be a better way to score. As this fight shows, there are diverging opinions when watching fights, They say the answer is more judges? That doesn’t address the observation metric.
I say give the judges niose-cancelling headphones and a monitor (the thing dana white, with one of the best seats in any fight he attends, is staring into the entire time), another “judge” comprised of fight veterans, another with a fan voting of sorts – vetted, ideally, with another judge or voting authority figure/board that can take ALL chatroom chatter/veteran fighter scores/ringside judges scores to take that all into consideration and constitute a “judge” – so maybe 6 judging authorities in play. Other than having the juding authorities watch the fight again x2/x_etc and declare the winner hours/next day post-fight, then this will never be fixed, imo.
