2005 best BOXING fight – Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo 1 – Video fight of the year

5_stars_allthebestfights Review: the first fight between Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo has deservedly won the award for the fight of the year of 2005. Corrales came from the victory against Acelino Freitas (one of the best fights of 2004) in which he won the WBO lightweight title, instead Castillo held the WBC lightweight title, which he had won in 2004 (against Juan Lazcano) and who had successfully defended twice. Diego Corrales vs Jose Luis Castillo 1 was therefore a very important fight (valid for both WBC and WBO lightweight titles) and it was really spectacular, especially the tenth round when both fighters went to the canvas… Watch the video!

2011 best BOXING fight – Hernan Marquez vs Luis Concepcion – full fight Video

4_stars_allthebestfights Review: 2011-04-02, great start with both fighters went to the canvas, but the fight goes on and it becomes a real war: four stars for the spectacular fight between Hernan “Tyson” Marquez and Luis “El Nica” Concepcion; unfortunately the pace slows down a little bit between the sixth and ninth round, if not it could be a candidate for Fight of the Year 2011. Hernan Marquez entered the fight with a record of 29-2-0 while Luis Concepcion had a record of 22-1-0. Marquez vs Concepcion is valid for the WBA World flyweight title. Watch the video!

BOXING NEWS – Huck vs Nakash, Helenius vs Samuel Peter – N’Jikam, Wlodarczyk…

This weekend the world of boxing has not scheduled any event really interesting. The most important one is surely Saturday, April 2 in Germany where Marco Huck will fight versus Ran Nakash (replacing the injured Giacobbe Fragomeni) for the WBO cruiserweight title, in the same evening Robert Helenius will face Samuel Peter for the WBO and WBA Inter-Continental heavyweight title, and as final fight of the evening Artur Hein will fight against Tony Averlant for the vacant EBU-EU (European Union) light heavyweight title.
In Europe, the other two most important boxing’s fights of the weekend will be: Hassan N’Dam N’Jikam vs Giovanni Lorenzo for the interim WBA World Middleweight title (held in France) and Krzysztof Wlodarczyk vs Francisco Palacios (in Poland) for the

Both boxers were undefeated in 2004 and for Darchinyan this was also the first fight in the U.S.A., but Pacheco was the man to beat, since he was the holder of the IBF flyweight title by more than 5 years.
