Fight rated 2 stars by AllTheBestFights.comReview: 2014-10-18, fight not particularly good between Edwin Rodriguez and Azea Augustama: it gets two stars. Edwin Rodriguez entered this fight with a pro boxing record of 24-1-0 (16 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.6 light heavyweight in the world while his opponent, Azea Augustama, has a record of 17-1-0 (9 knockouts) and he entered as the No.64 in the same weight class (currently the #1 in this division is Adonis Stevenson). ‘La Bomba’ Rodriguez suffered his only defeat in his last bout when he faced #1 super-Mw Andre Ward (=Ward vs Rodriguez) while Augustama’s only loss came in 2011 against Denis Grachev; after this bout he won eight consecutive fights. Rodriguez vs Augustama is on the undercard of Gennady Golovkin vs Marco Antonio Rubio. Watch the video and rate this fight!

  1. Good fight in the early going, brutal and strategic. Then it drags on, and it’s Rodriguez’s fault. He could have made it a five or six round affair with a sustained attack. He ended up carrying the overmatched Augustama who took a pounding for hanging in there.
