The 2016 Youth world amateur champion David Morrell entered this fight with a pro boxing record of 2-0-0 (2 KOs=100%) and he is ranked as the No.109 super middleweight in the world. In his previous two bouts he has beat Yendris Rodriguez Valdez and Quinton Rankin.
His opponent, the undefeated Lennox Allen, has a record of 22-0-1 (14 knockouts) but he is not ranked as he hasn’t fought since February 15, 2019 when he defeated Derrick Webster; before this bout he had also beat Willis Lockett in 2018 and Istvan Zeller in 2015.
