4 Star RatingReview by AllTheBestFights.com: 2017-01-28, amazing four-stars fight with a very exciting finish: with a better start Takashi Miura vs Miguel Roman could be a candidate for the boxing Fight of the Year 2017 and could get five stars.

Miguel Roman entered this fight with a professional record of 56-11-0 (43 KOs=77%) and he is ranked as the No.6 lightweight in the world. He suffered his last loss when he faced for the second time Dante Jardon in 2012, since then he has won 18 consecutive fights beating Jerope Mercado in his last one (=Roman vs Mercado).
His opponent, the former Wbc super-Fw champion Takashi Miura, has a boxing record of 30-3-2 (23 knockouts) and he entered as the No.10 super featherweight. He lost to Francisco Vargas in 2015 (The Ring magazine Fight of the Year 2015, Miura vs Vargas) but he came back to win in 2016 against Jimmy Borbon. Mickey Roman vs Takashi Miura is on the undercard of Francisco Vargas vs Miguel Berchelt. Watch the video and rate this fight!

Yata!! Man… Miura is one of the wildest fighter out there. He’s a merciless monster who will try everything to put his opponent down, even if it involves being severely punished himself for taking often some very dangerous risks. What a brawl!

Best boxing weekend in a while!

Miura gets Kod by any legit fighter.
B class. A bit like Chavez Jr was. Just being a much bigger man.
If he was younger I would say get a good trainer. But at 32 (?) – look for a payday.

A fight that thanks to these two excellent worriers deserves 4 starts or more. The techniques deployed were minimal but the courage displayed by both boxers was monumental. Roman was really brave to stand up after his knock downs even he knew it wouldn’t make any difference in the final result.
