Review: tough and technical fight between Giorgio Petrosyan and Alexandre Cosmo. Cosmo seemed stronger in the clinch and faster with the kicks, but Petrosyan with his self-confidence and his boxing skill has been able to annihilate the Brazilian, one of the world’s strongest muay thai fighter of the moment (winner of the the King’s Cup in 2009). Review: 2002-01-26, the first fight between Vernon Forrest and Shane Mosley was one of the best fights of 2002. Both boxers had the same age and also a perfect record with no defeats, 38-0-0 for Mosley e 33-0-0 for Forrest, but Vernon “The Viper” Forrest boasted a greater height (8 cm). Vernon Forrest vs Shane Mosley 1 was valid for the WBC welterweight title, won by “Sugar” Shane in 2000 when he fought against Oscar De La Hoya. After this first exciting fight between Vernon Forrest and Shane Mosley, it was organized a rematch in the same year but it was less spectacular. Watch the video!
Review: 2002-09-14, Oscar De La Hoya vs Fernando Vargas was valid for three world titles of the light middleweight division, in fact De La Hoya was the champion for the WBC, while Vargas for the WBA and IBA. Oscar De La Hoya had already lost two times, once against Shane Mosley and the other one with Felix Trinidad (who had also already won against Fernando Vargas). Both boxers had a very spectacular way to fight even if different, and therefore could only be an exciting fight. Watch the video!
Review: 2002-09-07, one of the best boxing fights of 2002 was Roy Jones Jr vs Clinton Woods. Both boxers had in their record only one defeat, but the American had lost for a disqualification against Montell Griffin (in fact in the rematch Roy Jones Jr won by Ko in the first round), however, Woods was a solid fighter, younger than 3 years and had an advantage in terms of reach and height (8cm). Roy Jones Jr vs Clinton Woods was a real defense of the undisputed world champion of the light heavyweight division, in fact there were 7 titles at stake (WBF, WBC, IBF, WBA, IBO, IBA, NBA). Finally everything is ready for the big event of k-1 and muay thai Oktagon 2011, scheduled for Saturday, March 12 in Milan (Italy), where the main fight will be Giorgio Petrosyan vs Alexandre Cosmo, another tough fighter for Petrosyan after the fight versus Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee. In the last days has also been confirmed the presence of Sudsakorn Sor Klinmee that, eliminated by the organizers of the Isuzu Cup (for his fight at Thai Boxe Mania), will face Xu Yan (from China). Instead Fabio Pinca is no longer in the fight card, which will be replaced by Angelo Campoli in the fight against Andrei Kulebin. But in the same evening we will see also two other world-class fights: Yoshihiro Sato vs Armen Petrosyan and Dzhabar Askerov vs
While Bob Arum with Showtime will broadcast Cotto vs Mayorga, HBO will focus on the fight between Sergio Gabriel Martinez and Serhiy Dzinziruk which will be valid for the new vacant WBC Diamond middleweight title. “Maravilla” Martinez is the favorite of the fight, having beaten in his last two fighting Paul Williams and Kelly Pavlik, but he must be very careful because Dzinziruk, although he is not very appreciated and having fought only once in the United States, is a very smart and solid boxer. On the same evening there is another interesting fight between Andy Lee vs Craig McEwan. This boxing event will be broadcast on HBO Saturday, March
Saturday, March 12, is scheduled one of the best boxing’s events of 2011, especially for highly spectacular fighting in the fight card. The main fight will be Miguel Angel Cotto vs Ricardo Mayorga, valid for the WBA Super World light middleweight title: Cotto is the number one in his category (light middleweight boxrec ranking) and in his last fight, against Foreman, seemed to have regained the explosiveness and power of former times, instead Mayorga, though he is not ranked at the top of the class, is always a spectacular and dangerous fighter. But in the same evening will fight also Leonardo Zappavigna vs Miguel Vazquez, two very young (class 1987) and spectacular boxers that will fight for
