Both undefeated, the Danish Patrick Nielsen entered this fight with a perfect record of 22-0-0 (11 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.21 middleweight in the world, he is just 23 years old (4 years younger than Chudinov) and in his last bout, three months ago, he won the vacant WBC silver Mw title defeating Tony Jeter (=Nielsen vs Jeter).
His opponent, Dmitry Chudinov, has an official record of 12-0-2 (8 knockouts) and he entered as the No.33 in the same weight class, he fought five times in 2013 winning four bouts and drawing once against Patrick Mendy who, however, was defeated by Nielsen five months before.
