2 Star RatingReview by AllTheBestFights.com: 2015-10-17, pretty good finish between Luis Ortiz and Matias Vidondo but it is not enough to get three stars: it gets two.

The undefeated Luis Ortiz entered this fight with a perfect boxing record of 22-0-0 (19 KOs=86%) and he is ranked as the No.47 heavyweight in the world. He has fought once in 2015 winning over Byron Polley (=Ortiz vs Polley).
His opponent, Matias Ariel Vidondo, has an official record of 20-1-1 (18 KOs=90%) but he is not ranked as he hasn’t fought since October 11, 2014 when he defeated Marcelo Fabian Dominguez. Ortiz vs Vidondo is valid for the interim WBA World heavyweight title; undercard of Gennady Golovkin vs David Lemieux. Watch the video and rate this fight!

  1. Ortiz is a true beast. And I wouldn’t argue with him about whether or not he is the “real” King Kong. All of the sudden, after years of boring clinching classes by prof. Klitschko, the HW division his quite exciting! Wilder, Joshua, Fury, Parker… and now Ortiz.

    • From your list of actual best heavy weight candidates I would be removing Fury since he is just a clown used to fight with low level competition. His advantages are just the height and being a South pawn boxer. Technically he is nobody.
Regarding the fight Ortiz shown technique combined with a good punching power.

      • That is true. I just wanted to name a few up and coming fighters in the division who were drawing attention. I don’t like Fury either.

  2. Nice destruction, I like Ortiz :) And he better take on the cream of the division rather sooner than later, being 36 years old.
