  1. Nice job by Mendy, I had it 115-112 for him. I was scared of a hometown decision, thankfully only one judge was crooked. Hearn pit his young fighter against a seasoned pro, gotta give them credit for that. Looks like it will be a great card.

    • Judges are very fair in the UK. Just look at how they treat prospects in Germany or the US. Amir Imam was winning a fight on the cards the other week when he was getting the sh*t beat out of him.

    • It would have been a home town decision had all the judges been English. The only judge who gave the fight to Campbell was the Pom. The only neutral judge (the Italian) scored the fight the same as the French judge.

      • Sometimes foreign judges go for the local guy because they want to be invited back by the promoter. That’s what I meant by home town decision. :)

      • Tbh, I don’t think it would have been a really bad decision had Campbell won the fight 114-113 on the cards. I had it 114-113 to Mendy, though. It was a close fight I thought & Campbell boxed well in parts. The announcers were overly negative because Campbell wasn’t bowling someone over like he had been up to this point.

  2. Haha well it was an Al Haymon card. The point is I normally have confidence that the right man will win on the cards in the UK. In Germany, not so much. Vincent Feigenbutz won an absolute robbery a month or two ago.

    • An example of BS judging on that card was Chilemba vs Alvarez, the local guy. A judge had it 118-110 Alvarez, which is absolutely ridiculous. They do that to be invited back by the promoter in future events. It was a close fight and alvarez won. 114-114, 115-113 and the stupid 118-110. I had it 114-113 Chilemba.

  3. An amateur, with an amateur mindset, circling like a knowing clock.
Mendy could read him like a book. What counts in professional boxing is force behind the punches and go- forward. To my mind it was a shutout to Mendy as a compentent experienced, professional boxer. I cant see Campbell going anywhere in the professional ranks
