Melvin still has good speed and put a nice combination of punches but in my opinion is getting a little bit rusted to continuing practicing this sport. Without too much effort Negrea was able to knock him down two times in the second round in spite of being a kick boxer with low experience.
The first “knockdown” was illegitimate…
Dabs, as usual i recommend you to watch the fight again. The first know down was caused by a precise knee connected to the chin which in fact is also a legitimate hit.
He was knocked off balance and you can see that he was not stunned at all by that strike.
Dabs, Since the chin hit was perfect it is the referee’s duty to protect the fighter in spite of that such knock down it may looks like controversial for the rest of people. Safety first. Right?
