After watching his previous fight, I was very impressed. This time, I thought he got a bit exposed since the Equadorian put a relentless pressure on him and Imam had a hard time handling it.
I once made the comparison between Imam and Hearns (I often tend to exagerate things), well maybe one day he’ll meet his Hagler-nemesis.
My girlfriend thought the finishing punch was behind the head and some may agree with that, but I thought it was a fair one.
I agree with your girlfriend; it was behind the ear. I am not suggesting it was deliberately illegal, but it was illegal. However when the promotional favourite did this the flowing excuses of the announcers was astounding. Just imagine if Angulo was the one who delivered this punch. The bloke would have been disqualified automatically.
From that angle, it looks legal to me.
