  1. Another convincing body shot victory like the one last year over Chavez. Maciel isn’t exactly top competition, though, which makes me ask: where did the ring announcer get the idea that James is the No. 3 welterweight? He isn’t close to being top ten! Boxrec has him at No. 16, which seems realistic. The PBC announcers hyping him for a title shot are out to lunch, too. He’s an interesting prospect who can bang, but one step at a time. No need to rush the kid in a murderous division packed with talent.
