Metamoris II Pro Jiu-Jitsu Invitational
“Metamoris” is one of the most important and exciting Brazilian Jiu Jitsu events that features the best professional BJJ practitioners. These superfights have different rules from the common BJJ rules: the time limit is 20 minutes instead of 10 min (as usually in the black belt fights) but the most interesting thing is that it is possible to win only by submission! If there is no submissions (or disqualifications) the fight ends in a tie.
In the first Metamoris event (October 14, 2012) the main fight of the evening was featured by a professional mma fighter: Roger Gracie (6-1-0 in mma) who faced Marcos ‘Buchecha’ Almeida. Also in the main event of Metamoris II we can see a great professional mixed martial artist: Shinya Aoki (33-6-0 in mma – former DREAM champion and now ONE FC lightweight champ) who faces Kron Gracie. Other featured mma professional fighters fighting at Metamoris II are: Braulio Estima, Brendan Schaub and Andre Galvao.
