Review: 2005-04-30, very exciting fight between Vicente Mosquera (20-1-1) and Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai (44-2-1). The boxer from Thailand, also known as Yodsanan 3K Battery had won the WBA World super featherweight title in 2002 (against Lakva Sim) and at his fourth defense he had to face the Panamanian boxer Mosquera, at his first fight in United States. Both boxers started strong and Yodsanan knocked down Mosquera in the first round, but in the third (one of the best rounds of the year) both fighters went down! In the second part of the match the pace slow down but in the last two rounds the battle started again. Vicente Mosquera defeated Yodsanan Sor Nanthachai by unanimous decision winning the WBA belt, then lost in 2006 against Edwin Valero (one of the best boxing fights of 2006). Watch the video!
Review: 2010-05-15, Michael Katsidis (26-2-0) had lost his interim WBO lightweight title against Joel Casamayor in 2008 (one of the best fights of the year) but regained it in 2009 (versus Vicente Escobedo); after six months his new opponent was the undefeated Kevin Mitchell (31-0-0) that wanted to win a world title in front of his fans, at the Upton Park in London. The aggressive Michael Katsidis was the underdog but he managed to defeat Kevin Mitchell in just three rounds: one of the best fights of 2010. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-08-13, very exciting fight between Abner Mares (21-0-1) and “King Kong” Joseph Agbeko (28-2-0), final of the Showtime bantamweight tournament. In the first round Agbeko went down and the referee counted him but the replay shows that it was a slip, then the fight went on with a high pace but the referee Russell Mora continued to commit several mistakes. In fact Mares threw a number of low blows throughout the fight but Mora did not take a point to the Mexican, moreover in the eleventh round the referee counted Joseph Agbeko a second time, but it was a low blow! The fight was close but the majority decision of the judges would have not been without Mora’s mistakes. The fight Agbeko vs Mares was valid for the IBF and WBC Silver bantamweight titles. Review: 2010-10-16, very nice fight between Wilfredo Vazquez Jr (19-0-1) and Ivan Hernandez (28-4-1). Vazquez Jr had won the WBO super bantamweight title at the beginning of 2010 versus Marvin Sonsona and after beating Zsolt Bedak at his first defense, he faced Hernandez (at his third attempt to win a world title in the super bantamweight division). Wilfredo Vazquez Jr defeated Ivan Hernandez by TKO after eleven rounds fought at high pace (especially the tenth was one of the best rounds of the year). Watch the video!
Review: 2011-07-31, very tough and exciting muay thai fight between Wanchannoi Sithuubon (blue trunks) and Kingsan Gor Saklampoon (red trunks). Wanchannoi dominated the first three rounds but in the fourth he seems tired and Kingsan Gor Saklampoon turns the tables winning the last two rounds but it is not enough. Wanchannoi Sithuubon defeated Kingsan Gor Saklampoon by unanimous decision. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-08-06, very good action, high pace and the final KO: the fight between Rashad Evans and Tito Ortiz has everything to win our 5 stars. They had already faced in 2007 (UFC 73 – Stacked), but the fight finished in a draw, instead in this second fight (UFC 133) Rashad Evans, with an impressive performance, defeated Tito Ortiz by TKO in the second round. Review: 2010-12-05, the fight between Chris John and Fernando David Saucedo was one of the best boxing fights of 2010. The undefeated Chris John (43-0-2) had won the WBA World featherweight title in 2003 against Oscar Leon and had successfully defended his belt eleven times when in 2009 he won the WBA Super World featherweight title. Instead for Fernando David Saucedo (38-4-3) was the first fight for a world title: in fact Chris John dominated Saucedo (defeating the Argentinian by unanimous decision). Watch the video!
Review: 2011-07-17, very nice fight of muay thai between Jingreedtong Seatranperi (blue trunks) and Kongbeng Mor Rattanabundit (red trunks). The younger Jingreedtong, 18 years old, defeated Kongbeng (older than 6 years) by unanimous decision after five tough rounds at Channel 7 See stadium (Bangkok, Thailand). Watch the video!
Review: 2011-07-30, Fedor Emelianenko starts strong but Dan Henderson does not seem intimidated and replies to the blows of the Russian. In the last minute of the first round Fedor Emelianenko punches Henderson with some hard shots that knock down the American but after a few seconds “Hendo” surprises Fedor with an uppercut and the referee stops the fight (probably too early). Even with a referee decision the fight was very exciting: 4 stars (third consecutive defeat of Fedor “The Last Emperor” Emelianenko). Watch the video!
Review: 2011-07-15, close and tough fight between Pawel Wolak and Delvin Rodriguez that gets four stars thanks to ten rounds of non-stop action: certainly one of the best boxing fights of 2011. Delvin Rodriguez entered the fight with a record of 25-5-2 while Pawel Wolak had a record of 29-1-0. For the first time Rodriguez fought in the light middleweight division. Watch the video!
