Miguel Cotto was the favorite, since he had already won against strong opponents, but Pinto was a tough and not easy boxer for his height (9 cm more than Cotto) and his heavy punches (19 Ko on 21 wins!). Savage fight :) Nice popularity-builder for Cotto at the time, Pinto very game but when Cotto threw everything but the kitchen sink he got very much caught. I think the corner stopped it for Pinto and they were right to do it.
