Review: 2011-11-05, tough fight but not very technical between Guillermo Jones and Michael Marrone: two stars. Jones knocks down Marrone two times and in the sixth his corner stopped the fight. Guillermo Jones entered the fight with a record of 37-3-2 while Michael Marrone had a record of 20-3-0. Jones vs Marrone is valid for the WBA World cruiserweight title. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-11-05, the fight between Mariusz Wach and Jason Gavern was not very spectacular: two stars. “The Viking” Wach knocks down Gavern both in the first and in the second round and wins by TKO in the sixth (referee stoppage). The undefeated Mariusz Wach (25-0-0) entered as the No.59 heavyweight in the world while Jason Gavern (21-8-4) entered as the No.52. Wach vs Gavern was valid for the WBC International heavyweight title. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-11-05, nice and fast knockout of Che Mills that defeated Chris Cope in just 40 seconds and earned the night’s “Knockout of the Night” award. Review: 2011-11-05, boring fight between the undefeated Peter Quillin and Craig McEwan: one stars. “Kid Chocolate” Quillin defeated McEwan by TKO in the sixth round but the referee stopped the fight too soon (McEwan had never been knocked down during the fight). Peter Quillin (25-0-0) entered as the No.9 super middleweight in the world while Craig McEwan (19-1-0) entered as the No.39 middleweight. Review: 2011-11-05, Kirkland starts strong but after 28 seconds of the first round he is already down, so Alfredo Angulo tries to end the fight throwing a lot of punches in the second minute of the fight but James Kirkland survives and comes back in the last minute of the first round knocking down “Perro” Angulo! Then the fight goes on but we don’t want to unveil the result of the bout… We don’t believe that Kirkland vs Angulo could win “Fight of the Year” honors but it could be a candidate for “Round of the Year” thanks to the amazing first round. Alfredo Angulo (20-1-0) entered as the No.2 light middleweight in the world while James Kirkland (29-1-0) entered as the No.49 middleweight.
