In fact in the third round “Cuatito” Ruiz knocked down Arce with a nice shot and the referee stopped the fight at the beginning of the fourth. Hugo Ruiz (28-1-0) entered as the No.20 bantamweight in the world while Francisco Arce (31-7-3) entered as the No.38. Ruiz vs Arce 2 was valid for the interim WBA World bantamweight title.
