Review: 2011-08-27, nice victory and nice knockout of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira that defeated Brendan Schaub in the first round. Schaub vs Nogueira was on the undercard of Silva vs Okami (UFC 134) and the ko of “Minotauro” Nogueira was awarded with the “Knockout of the Night”. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-08-27, in the first fight between Maurício Rua and Forrest Griffin (UFC 76 – 2007-09-22) the American defeated “Shogun” Rua by submission but this time the Brazilian takes revenge on Forrest Griffin winning by KO in the first round. “Shogun” Rua vs Griffin 2 was on the undercard of Silva vs Okami (UFC 134). Review: 2011-08-27, in 2006 Anderson Silva lost his last fight and his opponent was just Yushin Okami. In this second fight, after five years, the UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva seems to play with Okami and in the second round Silva knocked Okami out giving his Brazilian fans a KO victory. Silva vs Okami, main fight of the UFC 134, was valid for the UFC Middleweight Championship. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-08-27, even with the final knockout, the fight between Robert Helenius and Siarhei Liakhovich was boring. Helenius defeated Liakhovich by TKO in the ninth round and won the WBA and WBO Inter-Continental heavyweight titles (undercard of Povetkin vs Chagaev). Watch the video!
Review: 2010-09-11, Yuriorkis Gamboa (18-0-0) had won the WBA World featherweight title in 2009 and he had already defended his belt three times, instead Orlando Salido (34-10-2) was the reigning champion of the IBF featherweight title. In the eighth round Gamboa went down but in the last round the Cuban boxer knocked down Salido two times defeating the Mexican by unanimous decision (in the 12th round Joe Cortez deducted 2 points to Gamboa for hitting Salido while he was down). The fight Gamboa vs Salido was tough but also technical, with a high pace: one of the best boxing fights of 2010. Watch the video!
