Review: 2014-04-19, Thai fighters usually use the first round to study their opponent, but this is not the case…both Pornsanae and Manawwhan start strong throwing heavy kicks and we don’t understand what their legs are made of: bones, wood or iron?!? Why champions like Anderson Silva (=Weidman vs Silva 2) or Tyrone Spong (=Spong vs Saki 2) have broken their legs with just one kick while these two Thai boxers kick each other furiously without getting hurt?!?! Anyway, this battle was one of the best muay thai fights of 2014 and it gets four stars! Pornsanae Sitmonchai (red trunks) entered this fight with a professional kickboxing record of 144-44-1 (or 109-52-1, wikipedia’s record) and he was ranked as the No.8 featherweight in the world in May 2013 (before his last 5 stars fight we posted: Pornsanae vs Saksuriya) but after that bout he lost five out of his last eight fights.
Unfortunately we don’t know the record of his opponent, Manawwhan Sittongpetchyindee (blue trunks), but he is ranked as the No.2 featherweight at Lumpinee Stadium in March 2014! Pornsanae vs Manawwhan is valid for the Omnoi Super Featherweight title. Watch the video and rate this fight!

Review: 2014-04-23, tremendous exchanges, very high pace, three knockdowns: this toe-to-toe battle between Kiko Martinez and Hozumi Hasegawa is definitely one of the best boxing fights of 2014 and it gets four stars. Kiko Martinez entered this fight with a pro boxing record of 30-4-0 (22 knockouts) and he is ranked as the No.3 super bantamweight in the world, he fought four times in 2013 losing only his first bout against Carl Frampton in February (=Frampton vs Martinez) but in August he managed to defeat Jhonatan Romero winning the Ibf super-Bw belt (=Romero vs Martinez), after this fight he successfully defended the title once against Jeffrey Mathebula (=Martinez vs Mathebula).
His opponent, Hozumi Hasegawa, has a record of 33-4-0 (15 knockouts) and he entered as the No.24 in the same weight class (currently the #1 in this division is Guillermo Rigondeaux). Hasegawa has won world titles in two different weight classes but his last world title fight was in 2011 and he lost to Jhonny Gonzalez (=Gonzalez vs Hasegawa), since then he has collected four consecutive wins. Mehdi Zatout entered this fight with a professional kickboxing record of 72-29-1, he is the current Wbc welterweight muay thai champion (147 lbs, 66.7 kg) having defeated Singmanee Kaewsamrit via unanimous decision on September 7, 2013; after this title-fight he lost two bouts: against Fabio Pinca in October and then to Houcine Bennoui (January 2014).
His opponent, Mike ‘300’ Demetriou (real name Michael Demetriou), has an official record of 32-14-0 and he was the WMC middleweight Australian champion. Review: 2014-02-22, if a woman had a similar reaction (look at the picture), probably the fight between Yodsanklai Fairtex and Keo Rumchong was not so friendly…Muay Thai is already one of the toughest sport in the world but if in addition the two fighters don’t use normal boxing gloves and they use just some rope around their hands (like in the ancient muay thai: “Kaad Chuek” or “Kard Chuek” style fight), the bout could be brutal and savage, and it was! Both fighters seem full of rage (look at what Rumchong tried to do when the first round had already finished…) and they exchanged shot for shot, mostly elbows, in one of the craziest and exciting fights we have ever seen: Yodsanklai Fairtex vs Keo Rumchong is a candidate for Fight of the Year 2014 and it gets five stars. Yodsanklai Fairtex entered this fight with a professional kickboxing record of 188-71-4 and he is ranked as the No.3 middleweight in the world while his opponent, Keo Rumchong from Cambodia, has an official record of 86-8-5.
