Finally, Saturday, March 19, Vitali Klitschko will fight against an opponent worthy of a world title: Odlanier Solis. Klitschko doesn’t lost since 2003, when he was defeated by Lennox Lewis and he also lost the WBC heavyweight title, which Klitschko regained against Corrie Sanders a year later. Vitali has, however, almost 40 years and he will fight against the Cuban Solis (30 years old), undefeated as a professional boxer and three time gold medalist at the World Amateur Boxing Championships (once at the Olympics). Will the end of the Ukrainian champion come?

Review: 2002-11-16, Erik Morales vs Paulie Ayala was certainly one of the best boxing fights of 2002. Erik “El Terrible” Morales had just lost his first fight and the WBC featherweight title against Marco Antonio Barrera, but he chose an opponent not very easy: Paulie Ayala. For Ayala was the first fight in the featherweight division but he was one of the strongest boxers of that time, who had lost only once (against Joichiro Tatsuyoshi in Japan) but who had already won several world titles in the bantam and super bantam division. Review: the best fight of the Bellator 36 has been Patricky Freire vs Rob McCullough. Freire dominates the first round, leading to the ground McCullough, but the american fighter always seems calm, and in fact in the last seconds turns the tables. In the second round, which for us ends in a draw, the two fighters prefer to fight standing, throwing heavy punches…four stars for the fight between ‘Pitbull’ Freire and Rob McCullough – Bellator 36. Zambidis fights always in a very aggressive way taking a high pace, and these are the fighting that we prefer: action, pace and technique; Gunyar also fought well, working a lot with the low kick. Review: 2002-01-26, the first fight between Vernon Forrest and Shane Mosley was one of the best fights of 2002. Both boxers had the same age and also a perfect record with no defeats, 38-0-0 for Mosley e 33-0-0 for Forrest, but Vernon “The Viper” Forrest boasted a greater height (8 cm). Vernon Forrest vs Shane Mosley 1 was valid for the WBC welterweight title, won by “Sugar” Shane in 2000 when he fought against Oscar De La Hoya. Review: 2002-09-14, Oscar De La Hoya vs Fernando Vargas was valid for three world titles of the light middleweight division, in fact De La Hoya was the champion for the WBC, while Vargas for the WBA and IBA. Oscar De La Hoya had already lost two times, once against Shane Mosley and the other one with Felix Trinidad (who had also already won against Fernando Vargas). Both boxers had in their record only one defeat, but the American had lost for a disqualification against Montell Griffin (in fact in the rematch Roy Jones Jr won by Ko in the first round), however, Woods was a solid fighter, younger than 3 years and had an advantage in terms of reach and height (8cm).
