Review: 2012-10-20, pretty good fight and good finish between Danny Garcia and Erik Morales: three stars. The undefeated Danny Garcia (24-0-0) entered as the No.2 light welterweight in the world while Erik Morales (52-8-0) entered as the No.32. Garcia vs Morales 2 is valid for the WBA and WBC light welterweight titles; in their first fight Garcia defeated Morales by unanimous decision (March 24, 2012). Watch the video!
Review: 2012-03-24, pretty fight between Danny Garcia and Erik Morales but it is not enough to get three stars (fight ended by unanimous decision). The undefeated Danny Garcia (22-0-0) entered as the No.6 light welterweight in the world while Erik Morales (52-7-0) entered as the No.21. Garcia vs Morales is valid for the vacant WBC light welterweight title . Watch the video!
Review: 2011-09-17, the fight between Erik Morales and Pablo Cesar Cano was not very exciting: 2 stars. Morales defeated Cano by TKO in the tenth round winning the vacant WBC light welterweight title (undercard of Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Victor Ortiz). Erik Morales (51-7-0) entered as the No.21 light welterweight in the world while Pablo Cesar Cano (22-0-1) entered as the No.121. Watch the video!
Review: the third and final fight between Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales lasted just 3 rounds, but it was equally spectacular. Pacquiao, after winning the second match against Morales had also defended his WBC International super featherweight title against Oscar Larios, while Morales had not faced anyone in the meantime. But Erik “El Terrible” Morales was no longer as dangerous as during their first fight…fast finish and three knockdowns. Pacquiao vs Morales 3 was valid for the WBC International super featherweight title. Watch the video!
Review: 2006-01-21, Pacquiao, after the defeat against Morales (one of the best fights of 2005), won the vacant WBC International super featherweight title against Hector Velazquez and decided to fight for the second time versus “El Terrible”. This second match between Manny Pacquiao and Erik Morales could win the title fight of the year of 2006 since it was a real battle. Pacquiao vs Morales 2 was valid for the WBC International super featherweight title. Watch the video!
Review: the first fight between Erik Morales and Manny Pacquiao could easily win the title of fight of the year of 2005. Morales came from his second defeat against Marco Antonio Barrera (one of the best fights of 2004), while Pacquiao, who also had two losses in his record, had not lost since 1999 (against Medgoen Singsurat), but for the Filipino it was the first fight in the super featherweight division. This first battle between “El Terrible” Morales and “Pac Man” Pacquaio was valid for the vacant WBC and IBA International super featherweight titles. Watch the video!
Review: 2011-04-09, nice fight between Marcos Rene Maidana and Erik Morales. “El Terrible” Morales survives to the initial assault of the Argentine boxer and he almost knocks down Maidana in the eighth round. In the end Maidana wins a tough fight and also the interim WBA World light welterweight title by majority decision. Watch the video!
Review: the third fight between Marco Antonio Barrera and Erik Morales was the fight of the year of 2004 (Ring Magazine) and one of our favorites. They had won once each, the first fight won by Morales (fight of the year of 2000) and the second one by Barrera. The “Baby Faced Assassin” Barrera was at his first fight in the super featherweight division and wanted to snatch Morales WBC title. Marco Antonio Barrera vs Erik Morales 3 was a real war, this is boxing! Watch the video!
Review: 2002-11-16, Erik Morales vs Paulie Ayala was certainly one of the best boxing fights of 2002. Erik “El Terrible” Morales had just lost his first fight and the WBC featherweight title against Marco Antonio Barrera, but he chose an opponent not very easy: Paulie Ayala. For Ayala was the first fight in the featherweight division but he was one of the strongest boxers of that time, who had lost only once (against Joichiro Tatsuyoshi in Japan) but who had already won several world titles in the bantam and super bantam division. Review: 2000-02-19, the first fight between Erik Morales and Marco Antonio Barrera was a real war in fact it deservedly won “Fight of the Year” honors (Ring Magazine). The undefeated Erik Morales entered the fight with a record of 35-0-0 while Marco Antonio Barrera had a record of 49-2-0 (he had lost twice with Junior Jones). This first fight was valid for WBC and WBO super bantamweight titles. Watch the video!
